PC speakers
Hey I've been puzzling with an idea to build pair of cheap speakers for computer usage. I got a pair of AKG 518 headphones, which are awesome bang for the buck, but headphones start to feel uncomfortable after like 2 hours.
Quick look at trusty lautsprechershop.de revealed kit like this Lautsprecherbausätze von Mivoc which looks on paper rather sweet, especially the price is tempting. Only problem is that those things are floorstanding and I'd rather use bookshelf speaker for pc speakers.
Obviously those are 2-way speakers and since I've had some great experience with full-range speakers in the past I would prefer full-range concept if there is a simple effective way to reach some decent sound quality at low cost. But on the other than that I would like to hear first and fore most some educated guesses or better yet first hand experience of that kit or some other solutions for a good quality big bang for the buck pc speaker sets. Exotic cabinet structures will not intimidate me at all, so feel free to post some innovative ideas.
I've decided that my budget for this project is 100 euros for the electric parts. And since I got some spare plywood lying around waiting to get glued in to speaker form, I won't include cabinets in the budget.
