Default EL70: Best listening height?

I am trying to find the best listening height for my new EL70 OB build (EL70's are currently breaking in ).

I noticed most of the EL70 builds have it located fairly low (28"-33" or so). Is this driver best listened to lower vs. the usual tweeter inline with seated ear height rule of thumb? I also saw Jim Griffin had placed his Alpair 10.2 lower on purpose, iirc to avoid a problem area in the response.

BTW my seated ear height is 39"(1m).

I had the same concern while building my microTowers and Chris mentioned that it is a common question that he gets asked, but that he finds height to not be a really big issue.

After completing my microTowers, all I can say is that my concerns about height have vanished. Despite the fact that the centre of the drivers is about 6-8" lower than my ears, when I close my eyes it sounds like there are drivers all over my walls.

When i listen to the Mar-Kel70 on my 26" stands the driver is a bit above my listening height.

My EL70 are little above ear-height.

Perhaps my listening experience is significantly augmented by the fact that 2 of my 4 EL70s are firing their energy toward the ceiling...

And I thought off-axis response plots would be posted here after I got home from work .

Okay I am not going to worry about it too much. My current at ear height drivers keep getting in the way of things (multipurpose listening room/HT/computer room/study), so I am going to place these 8" lower.
