Default vintage 5" full range id please

Picked up a pair of these today, look a lot like vintage FE103's but they are 5", any ideas?

Coral... there was a 5 (yours?) & an 8" that i've seen and in creme or black cone. You have the rarer alnico, most of the ones i've had thru ere were ceramic.

I have a single 5" alnico and have been waiting for a 2nd to come along... sigh

thanks Dave!

Not to add salt to the wound but I actually found a pair of Stephens 80fr's yesterday and last week a pair of Quad ESL 57's

I say the surrounds seem fine but I don't really know how compliant they should be.

I'm pushing in slightly at the edge of the cone with four fingers evenly distributed and I would estimate the cone travels about 1-2 mm. Does that sound about right?

I made a simple little contraption to measure the distance the cone travels and it looks like 2.5mm. That seems about right to me but who knows?

Tomorrow I'll put them on a baffle and see how they sound

when you touch the surround on the inner side- like the first driver/ left on the picture, then it got to be soft!
