Default CHP70 in Bipole?

I was looking at Bipole designs with the FE127:

Sealed Bipole Speaker Project with Fostex FE127E Driver by Alex Bipole
DIY Sealed Bipole Speaker Project with Fostex FE127E Driver Bipole

How would such a Bipole work with CHP70? Could the cabinet be made bigger or MLTL to get more bass? What would be the spl of a pair in Bipole?

Andy

IIRC the CHP-70 works in the Micro-Towers:

Dave or Chrisb can confirm.

That Micro Tower looks good. I guess the top firing option for unit 2 would work for me if I wanted the speaker near a wall.

why are Bipoles not more popular - cost of speaker units?

Could be - although I've seen guys spend more money on input terminals and spikes than two pairs of something like the CHR /CHP /EL70. There's also the placement considerations of the more classic back-to-back bipole configuration; the rear facing driver generally requires several feet clearance from a rear boundary to mitigate early reflection issues.
