Hi everybody!
This is my first post here so please don't be too harsh with me After a CD reader breakdown, some moving around (several times), I ended up with listening to music on my computer (soundcard-> Nakamichi IA3 -> Sonab A200). Deciding to change I stumbled onto (my brother convinced me) a T-Amp with an included DAC for like 100€ and, well, a new world opened Well enough about the why an on to the what , I decided to build a sort of well sounding, transportable (which lowers the well sounding of course), low weight and cheap "kitchen radio". The idea is to have a T-Amp, loudspeaker elements, a LiPoly battery and a cheap "ipod-shuffle copy" in a box. I got the T-Amp, the elements (4x Visaton FRVS 5 4Ohm), the "chepo ipod" but only a vague idea about the box... I would like to have two stereo elements on each side of the box (which means 4 elements) which will give some more bass as the really small elements are not very good on bass(the idea is that the elements directed 'on the other side' will send away their high frequency far away but the bass will be heard and thus "doubled", something working only outside probably). All that in a single channel TQWT (ie. all four elements will use the same pipe) which will reduce the size. So the real questions are, * What do you think about it (it's my first diy project so if it is globally OK I'll be delighted) * Can I use the Cyburg needle (tweaked into a "box") and if I can, what kind of math do I have to do to change the size of it from say a Visaton FRS 8 to 4 x FRVS 5 ? * And of course any other comments! As I said, this is my first post so if things are unclear please tell and I'll explain (/learn) as good as I can. Thanks! |
