With a seneitivity of 101 db/w/m, this is a great driver for use with low power tube amps. With a pmax of 150w, it could also be used with higher powered amplifiers, although the resulting spls could be harmful.

A potential downside is the Fs of 85 hz - it will not produce usable deep bass. EQ could be used but the Xmax of 2.5 mm would limit eq'ed bass to pretty low levels. OTOH, this driver was never designed for deep bass capability. It was designed for use with an amplified sub.

It could be used on OB or in a small closed box in an HT system set for 'small' speakers, then used with a sub.

For use with a passive crossover to a 'woofer' a fairly heroic effort will be required.

Note that this is a bit off target for this forum (full range drivers, admittedly often 'assisted'). Consider posting on the Lansing Heritage site, where the JBL experts hang out.

Good luck,

Bob

Hi Kungfiskaren(SWE),

Here is another idea: Use your JBL 2152H as (T-TQWT:s) Stands(~60 cm or 23.6” total height if using 18mm Ply) for a couple of good FR drivers on top.

XO the T-TQWT-Stand max. at ~250 Hz if the terminus/opening is placed as close as possible to the top FR driver.

Default JBL speaker box idea

Hello bjorno, I like the idea of a T-Line. Can you give more details? I am not familiar with what this means (T-TQWT:s) and (FR driver)?
Thanks

Hi,

FR = Full-Range (driver), Then do a search for T-TQWT pictures at Google or search my contributions here at DIYaudio..

Example:
