Hello.
I bought a qtx sound passive speaker driver(902.545). But, I don't know how to connect. I've done to directly connect an amplifier to the speaker driver with a cable. But, It didn't work at all. I checked my amplifier, but it's ok.. Could you let me know how to connect? Do I need something more to connect? Thanks in advance |

That's a 10" woofer, right? It should work if connected to an amp. Does the amp work on other speakers?
How are you connecting it to the amplifier?

I don't think it's an woofer. It's a full range passive speaker.
DJ Speakers, Disco Lights, PA Systems, Lighting & Effects, DJ Equipment, DJ Kits - 10 Inch 200W 8 Ohms Full Range Passive Speaker Driver I connected my laptop to my amplifier.(Connect the cable to L channel of Speaker A) - my amplifier has L(+,-) R(+,-) of Speaker A,B(total 8 connectors) And, the amp works well when I take a headphone instead of a speaker. Connecting to speaker driver is the same way to connect to a passive speaker(with a cabinet)? |

Yes, connecting the driver is just the same as connecting a speaker in a cabinet, except the terminals are a little different.
You can check the driver with a 9V battery (the square type) to see if it moves. Just touch the battery to the terminals, it should jump a good bit. A 1.5V AA or AAA will work to, if you can get both ends connected.

yes that should do it. 9V pano
I've only ever been game to use 1.5V aa's then you can determine which speaker terminal is the positive and which the negative by which direction the cone moves when the terminals are touched to the battery. When the cone moves out ways the lead connected to +ve on the battery is the positive of the speaker. Tony. |

I see~
I'll try that. If it doesn't work with batteries, probably a stupid driver? Anyway, thank you so much~! I'll go to test right now. |

Ya, a 9V will give it a nice stretch.
