DD 00 401 5

and the other is

if anyone has info on what any of it means i would be very appreciative!

On the Philips drivers the impedance is the last digit(s) of the 1st number after the letter which indicates the driver range, if the number is to be believed the 1st is 48 ohms, but the P is strange. If it was a tweeter it would be T, a woofer W, a midrange S (squawker), a fullrange M.

The second is a 5" 8 ohm. X = FR?

Do you have a multimeter?

+1 on what Dave said.

Do you have pictures of these drivers and can you double-check the numbers, as they seem a bit odd?

Many of these old Philips drivers sound good and are not too hard or expensive to find (yet), good luck witht them!

Philips made in Belgium

Greetings to all. This is my first post. I am trying to get information about a woofer I found in one of my project speakers (Marantz HD77).

I think I have determined that it is a Philips driver, and it is stamped on the back "Made In Belgium"
Also, from this thread, I have figured out it is a "woofer" at 8 Ohms.

Any thoughts of power handling and quality of construction and sound?
Would this speaker hold up in a 250 watt system?
Any info would be very much appreciated and thanks in advance.
Right now, if this is worth it, I am installing ( if I can find the right size ) the foam surrounds.

Trying to post pictures.

One thing I find odd is, there is red color on one side of wire connect, and there is a red dot on the opposite side on the frame? Which side is the hot wire connect?
Sorry, I didn't realize that I crashed on someone else thread, again, sorry.

Philips 2403 tweeter.

This looks like a good place for a rare and old Philips tweeter info.
These tweeters are from the late sixties and as long as I know was used in color TV's and probably other places to. They are measuring 7 Ohm's , diameter 50mm and called Philips 2403.
