I finished building my Venom-V speakers from Woden Design. My wife and I thought they sounded awesome. The soundstage is much bigger and we hear more detail from the music than my previous diy speakers.
The speakers were made from Appleply. I used Osmo Polyx-Oil clear satin-matt on the speakers. The edges of the wood got darker which gave the speakers a cool look. We listened to Sunyata - Gypsy Sun Gypsy Moon which sounded incredible. My wife and I agree that it was quite the musical experience. We listened to a variety of other music but this album was amazing. Thank you Scott! |

Nice work Kerux
![]() Couple of observations just for the fun of it.. If you have kids or pets etc, maybe an outrigger with spikes at the base could be of some benefit and provide function too. Excellent example right here by forum member Toppsy (Colin) Frugel-Horn Mk3 Also, I wonder if a little experiment of trying out the tweet just above the FR driver temporarily mounted to the side of the cab, and tilted just slightly back to fire towards the listening position may take things even further, or not?? Fun to experiment though Good job! |
