Question SP200X MLTL

Hi,

I got the MJK sheets and begin to dig in.
I understand a bit with the TQWL (the TL_Open_End_Corner sheet, right ?), and I wanted to make now a MLTL. (with the TL_ML_Corner )

With the TQWL, I begun with the alignement tables, so I have some numbers to begin with. But for a MLTL, is it some tables too ?

How to choose some numbers to begin (for L and S), that are not completly fancy ?

Thanks fo any answer.

Hi blo06,

I haven't answer you questions yet due to computer problems (my service provider DNS server have failed and been erratic since yesterday) but I have modeled your ML-TL in MJK:s program and will post as soon as possible (2-3 hours maybe).

I will then motivate in pictures (Post MJK:'s input screen) why a slim tall corner placed ML-TL is not a good choice for a sub using your driver...

.. I.e. you will notice a huge wide dip in the FR appearing(~55-150 Hz wide) making your sub quite difficult to use as f-3dB would be low.

Be patience

b

I begin by designing a golden ratio BR cabinet. Using that box volume and port dimensions, I change the box to make it a MLTL. Run a model, then modify dimensions and run models until it looks good.

Cheers, Jim
