Source for full-range drivers for DJ headphone project?

Making some DJ style headphones and need high-quality drivers for them.

Try headfi or headwize for more responses as they are dedicated diy headphone sites.

A 3" driver should do it, you could try for smaller, but the range available is more limited.

However. They will be seriously loud. I ran some speakers out of my iPod (no amplifier), and they went reasonably loud, in room. I wouldn't put my ear right next to them, for sure.
