Hitachi full range?

I saw a pair of Hitachi speakers today in a thrift store, i could see the driver behind the grill, looked like an 6.5" er with a whizzer cone.

$12.

shall i go back and get them tomorrow or leave them there?:)

good candidates for a whizzeroctomy !!!
No , I'm joking !!
probably good candidates for a BLH -TL or whatever but a sealed box.
20 W max I expect
Or they could well be mated with a 12" in BR , simple 1st order crossover ,even in OB .

It's worth $12.50 just to see what driver is in the box (at least for you to spend it and me to find out). 6.5" FR w whizzer are not that common from what i have seen pass thru here, and many of them were quite special.

Yes.
And for a 1st timer my advice is to stay safe with the screwdriver near the cone and beware of too much power when testing.
Handle with care!!

Fun to try at the price, for intelligent experimentation I hope you can find the T/S variables.

It's a cheap price for potentially fun experimentation and learning, assuming everything is in good shape.
