I build the fonkens with the enabled drivers by planet hi-fi.
Well yeah, I hate the sound. No bass at all, high are super low, almost not present, the midrange sounds great, of course. I'm super dissapointed... |

Are the drivers broken in? That will help.
Don't give up on them yet.

And which drivers??? My Fostex 167's took a solid couple of hundred hours of break in just to get running decent - maybe 500 hrs. to get really broke in.

Dude, are you looking for help or just venting?
I bet approching P10 directly in private would have solved your problems in the wink of an eye. I can't see anybody wanting to be too helpfull now.... |

yes, the drivers are broke in.
I'm telling this because I'm wondering if I did something wrong while building it. To know other experience... |

Break-in is important.
Is there sufficient clearance around the internal vent entrance inside the box (oe damping material is not obscuring them). Is the box free of leaks? What amplifier? What speaker cable? Pictures? dave

yes I've been really carefull with the damping inside.
The drivers are break-in. And dave, sorry I dont want to spread negative reviews around your company, I'm just really unimpressed with the speakers. I can'T be sure if they are free of leaks, free of major leaks yeah, but I can never know for sure if theres little leaks... |

What amplifier? What speaker cable? No lows, no highs could be an amp with too high a damping factor.
Pictures? dave

What drivers? How many single drivers have you listened to? Also, I would not expect much bass out of that amp.
