decware dm944 or 945 ?
anyone play with these ?
looks to be an 8" silver flute run wide open with a single cap on a hivi rt2c. http://www.decware.com/newsite/DM945.html Norman |
yesterday i got a pair of these
https://www.madisound.com/store/prod...roducts_id=843 playing in a 'boombox' they share about 1.5 cubic feet.... sealed the sound is very warm, LOTS of bass, mids and highs are recessed. a great speaker in my opinion. |
I think it's the RT1C-A (5 ohm) rather than the RT2C (compare pictures).
Not sure about the DM945 but I believe the DM944 has a crossover frequency of 8 kHz. I think also that the internal volume is 15 litres. I'm looking to DIY this design and would appreciate if someone could help with the port length in a 0.5 cu ft and a 2" flared port. |
ive been thinking the same, build a $900.00 pair of Decware speakers for $240.
the port has to be between 1 and 5" long, its only plastic pipe, cut a few lengths play some test tones and listen :) |
