I have heard a few people at my place have tried to reconstruct FR drivers with old FR baskets that had Alnico magnets... no idea though if they were successful or not...

Hi there T: The title and article states the cones are "Katagami tanned paper", (although in the picture, they look look like wood finish), the voice coil former is "hand buffed kouzo Japanese paper". Could this be a translation situation? Certinly has a wow factor. ...regards, Michael (Michael added; katagami is Japanese art for adding stenciles to paper using organic dye)
