Wrapping up my Home theatre

The speakers in the first post look lovely.

Now, in the case of home theatre, I do expect that if you'd add a good sub, then you don't really need these big horns anymore for the channels. Compact Bass reflex boxes with a decent response until say 70hz would work well enough, in my opinion.

Or perhaps I am missing something (outside the "cool" factor of horn speakers)?

That has a lot to do with it

I also didn't want anything tiny since it would feel (at least to me) out of proportion to the screen.

Music is also exclusively in stereo, no crossover shenanigans here!

I also wanted to avoid having to build a proper sub for as long as possible, and at the time, I had more time than money. Building a smaller box wouldn't have cost particularly less.
