Bigger Is Better 'BIB' Cabinet Dimensions - ZillaSpeak

BIB Calculator - Bigger Is Better Loudspeaker Design

BIBs work great in corners. Personally, i think they both need to be in corners to sound their best if used alone without bass augmentation. I just built another pair of BIBs and will report on them soon. They are in car ready to be transported to my office tomorrow morning.

I think building a smaller back horn (BIB, Bruce, Hiro, etc...) and mating them with a powered sub is a great idea! You get the improved dynamics and immediacy of the horn, some added efficiency in the mid and lower bass, larger imaging and better 'jump' factor. If you can accommodate the setup i think it's one of the best ways to enjoy music.

Slightly OT, how would you guys compare FLH vs BLH? Do you get even more dynamics and immediacy, i.e., even more "immersive" listening experience? I have a pair of Alpair 12 and Fostex 126en coming, so can try a few different designs, I listen to everything but classical and crappy pop music...
