seas fa22rcz in slim floorstanders
I am building a slim floorstander with this fullrange driver.
Bob Brines have made MLTL drawings to me, but with this project i am reducing the width&depth (sorry Bob, but dont worry a second pair is next on my schedule, 100% after your receipe  )The outside dimensions is 118x20x30. I have used cheap construction quality x-veneer, 18mm, (i paid 50 USD cutted). I made two braizings for each speaker: a 26,4x5 cm piece on each side ca in the middle of the speaker. Inside the cabinet i have decided to resonance damp with high modulus MS Polymer glue (a lot stiffer than silicone, with much more body).
This is not a very economical solutioun but i work with this products and use product where the shelf life was exeeded = no cost  I used 6 cartrigdes (2 kg) pr cabinet. The "knock-test" tells me that this solution is almost like using thin bitumen pads.  Uploaded with ImageShack.us |
