Just stumbled across these, and was curious how they perform on an 18Watt Single Ended 300B driven amp (Opera Consonance Rference 5.5mk2 to be exact). They are pretty cheap, and currently I'm using B&W CDM7NTs on the amp. Obviously I would better use something more sensitive, hence my interest in the Zu speakers.
Actually, depending on price in China, I might prefer the Opera Consonance M12's, which are around the same sensitivity (95dB), but I would love to hear people's opinion on the Zu speakers! |

I enjoyed the Zu room at the Rocky Mountain Audio Fest. (Better than last year.) I don't know whether they're the right speakers for you, but 18W should be plenty. I was skeptical of 18W from a single 300B, btw, so I just googled and it appears you've got a parallel single ended amp, right? For my tastes, the Zus would probably be fine with my 3 watt amp. So you should be set.

Correct, the Ref5.5mk2 is a parallel dual tube SE amp.
