As a newbie to the world of back loaded horns (I just finished my first pair EZ10 design with Audio Nirvana 10" cast frame full-range drivers), I am struggling with their proper placement in the room.
With limited options in terms of speaker placement, I had to resort to placing the horns (17" width, 18" depth) one near a corner and the other near a wall (with a large window). For a short period - and as an experiment only - I was able to move them half a meter deeper into the room and the sounstage improved quite a bit... The trouble is that without re-arranging the living space, I may not be able to have the speakers too far from the walls. Is there any way to deal with the closeness to the corner/wall and still preserve soundstage (so the speakers "disappear")? I have no experience with bass traps but have experimented a little with room acoustics based on suggestions by Jim Simth in his "Get Better Sound" book. Thanks for any ideas. Peter |

"so the speakers "disappear"?"
than better take a double horn, it is made for wall and corner load, because of the driver configuration and using the precedence effect it can "disappear", look my HP
