Cool ads l-810 doesnt have the openess i remember

i finally got my system together for the time being, it sounds good, but i am wondering if it is my hearing loss or if the speakers have lost some of the openess at low volume. i am aware the crossovers can lose a little over time, i am using rotel rb-990bx, rotel rtc-850 pre tuner, and recently i got a b & w asw-6, i have less than 4600 in the whole system, i bought the amp for 150, pre tuner 90, speakers for around 220 and the sub for 150, if i pop my ears while listening it sounds a lot better, lol. any help or suggestions are welcomed, i am looking at improving cables, am using low grade, and am using solid copper 12 guage speakers wire with decent bananas. thanks again,::
