Qualitatively, does the TB woofer full range sound better / worse than the original Minimus 7 woofer + tweeter with the original ragged response?

The response graph in PE site is zoomed out and overly generalized. It makes the driver response look smoother than it really is. Look carefully at the +/- dB scale (vertical scale).

I used an online calculator to get the values for the Zobel network. Speaker Zobel / Impedance Equalization Network Circuit Calculator

I found the sound of the TB driver to be peaky and ragged in the upper mids to lower trebles. Not much going on above 12kHz, at least as far as my old ears can tell. I'm not getting much of an "airy" response from them.

Also, I'm getting no bass at all. My idea was to use them in a sort of "FAST" arrangement, sitting on top of a pair of old KLH 6 cabs with the tweeters removed, used as the bass speakers. This would be bi-amped with a little 8wpc EL34-triode tube amp for the TB's and a Hafler solid state amp for the bass. But the TB drivers need some taming before I get that far.

If you're looking for a woofer to replace the original in the Minimus 7, then I'd say this model TB ain't it. No bass at all in this cab.
