Default How much breathing room for a BIB

A BIB for Mark Audio A10.2 drivers would be around 84" tall, and my ceiling is 91" tall. Would 7" be enough breathing room above the BIB, or should I tune it higher to make it a bit shorter? It makes sense to me that it should have clearance above the BIB equal to how deep the BIB is (a 12" deep BIB would have 12" of clearance), but that is just a guess and others may know a bit more.

Default Think of floor loading

Floor loaded BIBs are to have an open area (the space between the bottom of the panels and the floor on 3 sides if against a mid-wall and 2 sides if in a corner) equal to Sm. Applying that to your situation, it would be ok if: 7" * depth + 7" * width >= Sm

If the 7" gap doesn't provide enough area, you could try a k-slot. Some info here:

Bearberry,

Thank you very much. Now I can build without a doubt in the back of my mind the whole time.
