Martin's explored the use of the Goldwood GW-1858 here:

They aren't quite the same. One is a model 1858 and the other is 1850.

Possibly. But perhaps the spec.s are off for one or both rep.s..
They are at least very similar, and should work reasonably well as a open baffle helper woofer in the context that Martin presented. For a product with such a use, price is the major factor.. and I'd suspect that shipping costs would play a large roll in determining it's relative value.

I believe the QTS for the 1850 is .67 so this is a lot different than the 1.07 for the
1858. |
