Seas FA22RCZ full range project

I have bought a pair of seas full range speakers. And now i hope
the good people in here will give me some input on what type of
cabinet is the best for this driver.
Should i go for a horn construction like Dallas or Jericho or a closed 60 L box
or 70L bass reflex box both the closed and the bass reflex boxes are found in the app notes from seas.

All sugestions are welcome in this prosess. I just hope i get a lot of ideas to try out.

Where did you buy from?

Hi

I bought them from Dynabel here in norway but i am not shure if they
ship abroad.

Hi Nikko,

A client of ours put these in a 70litre bass reflex ported cabinet and apparently they were nice. He didnt go into to much detail unfortunately. Glad to hear you got some sorted in the end! :)

Thanx for your reply this is just what i am after. I see you got the seas exotic element in a jerico horn on your pages. do you think that would work with this driver

hasaudio.co.nz 29th December 2010 08:41 PM

Im not sure. Im fairly certain there will be a few alternate designs on this forum in the months to come. Id give the standard cab ago for now....or try the jericho if you have time. :) Its a nice driver isnt it? Its got that classic fullrange look.

good idea i think the driver is very nice. Almost a vintage look over it :)

Will post my design shortly, still waiting on the drivers (hint hint) ;)

Nothing wrong with your English -it's a lot better than my Norwegian (to my deepest shame, given that I'm about 1/2 Norwegian myself).

Well, to get the ball rolling, here's a Vb = Vas, Fb = Fs MLTL.

Internal dimensions = 56in x 10.5in x 14in (HxWxD). Zd = 21.125in. Zvent 54in. Vent 4in diameter x 3.5in long. Line box top, back & one sidewall with acoustic fiberglass or similar & adjust damping quantity and / or vent length to tailor to your system / room / taste requirements.
