I currently have a FE208EZ BLH and T90A supertweeters. I am using the recommended cap value of 1 uF. Is this recommendation by Fostex overly optimistic as to the range of the FE208EZ?

More likely just taking into account the higher efficiency of the tweeter.

The 1uf cap is gradually rolling the tweeters response into the main driver at 6db per octave. I've not heard this combination of drivers but i'd expect them to work together very well. If you feel there's too much treble reduce the cap size. If you feel there is too little treble increase the cap size. |

Perhaps more pertinently, do you like the sound you have? If you do, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Hello,
one solution would be, forgot the tweeter, and take a parallel LCR filter between 2 and 8 kHz for the 208.
