Hi,
I'm fooling around with an old Cyburgs Needle build that has W3-871S drivers. I have Omnes Audio BB 3.01 drivers, which look to be a swap-in physically. I'd like to try them ... The notch filter is different for the Omnes. HenkJan posted his values of 0.33mH / 1.8R / 22µF in the Cyburgs Needle thread. The Omnes driver's electrical impedance is 5 Ohm. I don't have these values on hand, and I want to see if there's a way to do this passive with resistors/caps I already have. Can I convert this notch filter into a line-level notch with a combination of first-order highpass and lowpass PLL RC filters? The amp input impedance is 22K. What's the process of doing a conversion/recalculation like this? |

Attached is an ugly graph of what the notch does. Is it possible to do such a curve with a PLLXO?
(The curve is centered on 1940Hz, with a 2.67 dB attenuation at that point.) |
