What is the deal with them?
Ok, I read a lot of stuff about the different applications of the elliptical-slots, from bass-bin to compression-driver tube, but one application that I could not find much technical background to was the use of a Karlson slot in a phase plug for a fullrange driver. Even BD Design fiddled around with them. So what's the theory behind this? It certainly is simple and cheap enough to experiment with on cheap drivers, I just whish I was set up to take proper measurements to do it accurately. IG |
