Default Built some Voigt-based speakers with the help of a friend!

After visiting a friend and listening to his various renditions of Voigt-based speakers, I decided that I also want some of the action!

The design objective was simple:
100mm full-range driver (with high-frequency supplementation by a 10mm tweeter)

My friend did the cabinet design for me and I did the construction - we live +/- 300 kms apart!

Here is some photos of the build thus far...

Very nice! I like the photos detailing the construction. Your cabinet making skills are very good. How do they sound?

Thank you!

They sound pretty amazing for 4" drivers! Very "musical" which makes them very "listenable" ...

They seem to be extremely tall!
And are they attached to that bottom-plate?

01: Thank you!
02: The cabinets was designed by a friend that manufactures these speakers for a living.
03: Drivers are VISATON FR10 8 OHM (Art No 2021) & VISATON SC 5 8 OHM (Art No: 8005)
04: Build a set... lol!

PS - I can put you in touch with the guy who designed the cabs - maybe he is kind enough to supply you with the blue prints.

great build, the finished speakers look very attractive. I'm sure the build description will be a great help or inspiration to some.

here's an 8" version which sparked my interest in the format many years ago:

The Voigt Pipe

The format is very effective, as proven by the reverence that Terry Cain's Abby is still held in.
