Hi guys, recently I obtained 6 elliptic vintage full range drivers.
I got them cheap - 40 dollars for all... And I think of some kind of exotic enclosure for them, just for experiment. When I was in high school I tried kind of enclosure with reflected sound - it was for middle and treble and I was very surprised with the pleasant result... I can make it with closed volume and compact - for mid and high only or with TL or some sort of horn enclosure and bigger dimensions. It is interesting that when you change the size and shape of the front opening the sound changes too - that way you can control the balance between treble and mids... I have tried with tweeter on the reflecting surface and it sounded well... That's just a thought, any opinion is welcome! The drawings are just that - drawings of the idea, not plans... just to mention that... Best regards to all! |

That looks interesting. A bit like a JBL Paragon.
