Hi fellas.
Pretty straight forward question, probably loaded though ![]() I have Alpair 7's in Brynn cabinets crossed to a Vifa M22 around 200Hz using a series cap and parallel inductor on the Alp and a plate amp (for now) on the woofer. It's sounding very good! Is the cabinet going to be having a negative effect even though there is almost no bass coming from the Alpair's? What amount of damping would be best suited, trial and error? Thanks for your time ![]() Cheers Ken |

Adding some stuffing would be wise - sound reflecting off the back of the cabinet, then comming back through the cone sounds bad.
I'd experiment a little. You might find no stuffing is best, or maybe you'll need to put quite a lot in.
