Default What effect does a cabinet have when using a high-pass filter?

Hi fellas.

Pretty straight forward question, probably loaded though

I have Alpair 7's in Brynn cabinets crossed to a Vifa M22 around 200Hz using a series cap and parallel inductor on the Alp and a plate amp (for now) on the woofer. It's sounding very good!

Is the cabinet going to be having a negative effect even though there is almost no bass coming from the Alpair's? What amount of damping would be best suited, trial and error?

Thanks for your time

Cheers
Ken

Adding some stuffing would be wise - sound reflecting off the back of the cabinet, then comming back through the cone sounds bad.

I'd experiment a little. You might find no stuffing is best, or maybe you'll need to put quite a lot in.
