i GOT A PAIR OF THE NEW fe166En's. I measured them straight out of the box, ran them for six hours with pink noise at Xmax and measured them again. The results are attached.

Thanks Bob! I think it's reasonably consistent. In other words, a cabinet built for this driver with these varying measurements will perform about the same plus or minus the variations. Measurable and probably audible but perhaps only subtle. Looks like you will get sound from these and good performance too!

Bob, et al : still to be confirmed would be the real world Xmax limits?
and of course any difference in sonics at levels below those reaching said limits It could be that effectively, these differences are "well within industry standards" Horst - just my
