I've read somewhere on the cyperspace a while back where it said aluminum dust caps would contribute to bright edgy sound but never thought about it much til i now that i've picked up a pair of JBL LE8 fullrange. Just curious if these LE8 would sound any different if i replace the aluminum caps with normal paper dust caps.

Have you listened to the LE8 with the aluminum dust caps in place or is this related to what you read online? - if so you might want to try them as is first.
