How do i do it myself?
Yeah, i am thinking of a Lotus. And the thing that it is possible to put in one more driver whenever i want is pretty cool aswell. But will they work well in my room and is it good to have the subwoofer to take care of <150hz or something like that?

With Lotus you'll probably want to XO the woofer 50-100 Hz. To increase level capabilities you'll want to add at least a minimal high pass filter on the HF amplifier, if possible.

Good place to start for treatment.

Yes, that one...
I will make it look like the 2 driver version even if i only go with 1 driver.
We'll see how much money i have...

Well, it looks like it might be a sportscar - and instead of the stack of wood at the bottom, perhaps one 45 panel forming a Helmholz trap to kill the standing wave (lengthwards)?
Probably not necessary, but someone who has time on his hands while finding the money might torture his compooter.
Niklas, we are looking towards where the fearless Vikings dwell.

Helmholz trap? :O

What do you mean with fearless vikings?

ah, the wonder that is wikipedia

BTW, I'll repeat an earlier observation / query in one of the ongoing threads - you posted pictures of your room - what would you estimate the distance of your listening position from the speakers?

Rullknufs 8th April 2010 05:14 PM

1.65m between the speakers.
Around 2.30m between me and speakers.

hmm, I could be all wet, but see my earlier comments re integration of the combined output of the dual mouth/vents and direct from drivers at such a close listening position

even a single driver version, particularly if supported by powered woofer, would likely have no problem with "sane" SPLs and bass energy, but you could be sitting too close to get seamless integration of essentially 3 sources, and imaging could suffer.
