are you sure? I'm not at all familiar with the model, and the photo is either innocently or intentionally angled so as not to show all, but that certainly looks like a PCB surrounding the magnet. the upper red line on the above graph doesn't concur with the listed frequency response of 50-7kHz, and the lower blue line suggests the presence of a second motor assembly and filter network - if the PCB was an elaborate Zobel or other EQ network, wouldn't you expect the impedance "curve" to be flatter above 500?

Fair point.
That response is amazingly flat. I don't think it would be reproduced under normal conditions.

Hi guys,
it seems the mystery is solved, they do in fact have a built in crossover, well from what the TB (tweeters) site says anyway. this one has no built-in crossover: http://www.tb-speaker.com/detail/1230_04/w5-1701s.htm but this one does: http://www.tb-speaker.com/detail/1208_03/w4-937sf.htm so that W6-1530S 6.5" could be a steal if the price is right. cheers, Grant |

Maybe that's the response before the tweeter is added - Eminence does some co-axials, but only quote the frequency response to what the driver can do without said tweeter.

@ mhelin, yes it should be moved
@ Henkjan, I just read the Laudsprecker site, English translation, yes it seems no XO. the TangBand site seems confusing , in that they are not consistent. I emailed TangBand for clarification, and will post the reply here... |
