I am in the process of buying a pair of Audax 8" HT210A2. What kind of cabinet or baffle would be suitable for this driver?
TQWT? Open Baffle? I´m thinking of using it with a 1W SET amp for near field listening. Mostly I listen to acoustic music, jazz, lowcore, and vocals are important. As a life long Magnepan lover a dipole would be great. Anyone have any suggestions? |

These are rated 100-17000Hz
They look more like 100-13000Hz Nice sensitivity though |

I´d like to have them on a open baffle together with a woofer, and maybe exchange them for Visaton B200 when a deluge of money comes comes my way.
They have a bit short Xmax though ![]() Here is a nice application of the speaker. In "The Joke" Voigt pipe. http://www.iol.ie/~waltonaudio/voigt.html Last edited by trondareo; 19th February 2010 at 05:35 PM. Reason: added link |

They look like they'd work fine in an OB FAST.

FAST is a new acronym for me, I did a search and found it is about open baffle with a woofer crossed over at 200Hz or so and in a box or reflex port.
But what does F. A. S. T. stand for? |

I can never remember exactly. Something like FullRange and Subwoofer Technology... a FR used as a mid-tweeter with a helper woofer, XO usually 150-400 Hz or so.
