Hey guys,
I have recently scored a pair HIVI Trinity 6 3-way Ribbon Coaxial speakers. I'm having issue's trying to find a box design for them. I have the specs from HiVi, however from previous use of HiVi there specs arent so accurate, and I dont have the equipment to test. Have any of you seen a box designed for them? HiVi now has a box design, however I couldnt find its specs. I did find a crossover design for the speaker, but no boxes. ![]() ![]() ![]()

MMhh..fearful ! Air movement is very limited by the steel chassis . The suggested crossover schematic takes in account each sub-driver's parameter ,trying to flatten the impedance rise of each way . Try to lower woofer's Qms
with a lot of <sound absorber>,even light felt around the basket. Box won't be too big , I imagine . An Ikea bowl (two sandwiched) should work. Cheers |

It has been awhile, I put them into some box's same dimensions as swans built pair.
Haven't put a finish on them yet, I will post pics when they are done. I'm quite happy with there sound considering what there are. The mid and bottom end are lacking slightly, however I think that has something to do with my crossovers. Otherwise they are good. |
