Default Seaking inexpensive alternatives to European drivers

I started building speakers around 4-5 years ago when the dollars were still having some decent values but now due to the Fed printing press going overdrive, some of the drivers such as Scanspeak, Seas, ... are so expensive. Has anyone tried any other types of drivers that are not so expensive but with good quality?

You'll probably get more responses in the main loudspeakers forum, as this section is primarily devoted to full-range / wide-band drive units. However, FWIW, you might want to take a look at the Dayton range of tweeters / midbass units, especially the RS models.
