I need the T/S for an old radio shack 5" fullrange driver
No 40-1284E 10w RMS 20w Max 8Ohm If anyone could post then for me as I dont have the ability to measure the specs I have them in a folded quarter wave pipe (bob brines?) Was also wondering how much stuffing to place inside I have the front (ahead of the driver) stuffed and a peice of carpet behind the driver , driver damped with ductseal This was my first project and id like to have a go at them again with the correct specs also wanted to try phaseplugs any help on the length of the plugs how far should / shouldnt they stick out ? should i try and stiffen up the cone with damar ? and other tweeks ? that may help out ... They actually sound Great ! but i would imagine they could be alot better if i had the correct T/S and tweeked the box alittle if needed as the box was designed for a diffrent rat shack driver or if anyone has had success with this driver in another box pls feel free to offer up a better design. |
