Default search to find new driver with Alnico vintage sound ;)

HELLO !

I'm a big fan of Altec Lansing Midrange sound quality and I search to find "new speaker" with the same sound of CD408 (8" coax speaker 98dB) with ultra thin paper cone and ALNICO magnet.

If anybody know actual speaker brands and model with the same sound of this ALTEC please send me answers !

p.s. I try many many speaker brand (PEERLESS-VIFA-VISATON-SILVER FLUTE......) but nothing of this brand approach THE ALTEC SOUND.

THANKS IN ADVANCE !

Because nobody help me with my question .

I take a chance to buy CIARE CH250, I made this choice for OB box configuration, sound quality, efficiency and fullrange driver.

I send my personal appreciation next time I cut lower frequency with only one capacitor 6dB 250hz.

thanks to me to answer myself !

Sarcasm aside, the lack of answers may stem from a couple of reasons:
1/ The Altec is a coax driver (viz. a multiway), & this section of the forum is about wide-band / FR units. And
2/ There isn't much made these days that is exactly analogous to the Altec gear. PHY are probably closest, as they have a coax unit with AlNiCo motors voiced in a trad fashion, but it comes at a heck of a price.
