Repair Goodmans Axiom 80

My stupid enclosure maker broke the glue adhered between the paper cone and the cantilevers when installing the driver to the enclosures. almost want to kill him!!!!

Do any high hands here can halp and suggest which kind of glue i should use to stick the cantilevers to the paper cone. Thank you.

Try these people in Australia for the right glue. They do lots of speaker repairs:

That does not look bad at all.

I think it is pretty common damagefor Axiom 80, and does not any kind of permanent/irreversible damage if repaired correctly.

I remember that epoxy based glue was recommended stuff for that, but just in case I'll check that yet. ( EvenLoctite?)

I think you should not to try to remove old glue, just use _very_ small amount of new glue.
I've fixed ( got fixed) two similar damages, and the only thing needs to be taken care is the alignment of the cone. The cone might have twisted in wrong postition if supported only with two cantilevers or it might not. The first repair I did did not needed realignment, the second needed a litte.

2- component epoxy based glue was recommendation I got from the guy who made last similar repair to my driver. Cant' remember what was the glue I self used at first time I needed to make this repair, I guess it was just ordinary 5 cent loctite superglue. But that's not a recommendation.

Pay attention to working- and drying times, some varieties have drying times up to several hours, and I guess you do not want to hold them together for that long time.
Also some qualities are sensitive to warming, you can speed up drying with blowing hot air in the seam.

And dont forget to chek the alignmet. I'd say it's 50/60- chances it requiers adjustment, or maybe not.
Also, do not forget to left your nerves out of the house before you start the repair.

So, is there perhaps some high hands around with objections, or is this agreed?

edit: one moer advice: If you feel like seriously nervous before the operation, if you are really afraid you will mess up somtehing, I'd say forget to do it by you self. Go and hire a brain surgeon or something.
If you dont feel comfortable with the work, your hands are shaking and so on, the risks of making irreversible damage are growing rapidly, with the level of state of your nervous system disturbance.

Believe me, I've been there. Most horrible job I ever have done was repairing terminals and soldering new wires there. I just missed a stroke, with an inch or something, I guess. ( Luckily, nothing happened.)
