Hi,
I'm having trouble sourcing locally a good looking 50mm port. I can find one with a large flat lip and 4 big screw holes, but if I go with this one I would prefer to rear mount out of sight. So, has anyone done comparisons of rear versus front porting on this design ? I see Jim Griffin uses the rear port on his ribbon tweeter version, can I assume similar results with the "standard" MLTL 48. Thanks, Dan Last edited by batdan; 14th December 2009 at 07:51 PM. I think I have a couple of ports ex a pair of B&W DM23's that met a watery end. I think they are 50mm. Whereabouts are you?

Gary,
I'm in Wellington, thanks for the offer. They need to be 70mm in length - can you confirm measurements ? I ordered some locally almost 3 weeks ago but am still waiting (wrong size sent initially and no sign of the correct ones since...) They are the only things holding me up finishing my build, so am considering rear porting using Jaycay items as per this thread. Dan |

OK, I dug them out. They are 50mm ID and 70mm long, press-in type. Flange is only about 2-3mm.
Contact me on one of my TM auctions, don't like giving out email on international sites. TM auction number 260531247 for example |
