Default Budget IB suggestions

I'm trying to put together a budget HT system on the cheap and need some suggestions for a decent sounding 8" driver that I can mount between the 16" OC studs.
Pioneer B20s? Something in that price range.

I figure I have around 2.6cf in the wall cavity between the studs. Maybe they will sound OK in the wall.

The room is a small 10x12' addition (mother in law suite/man cave) that was formerly a patio. I figure when she is in town staying with us a decent HT setup might keep her in her room. Otherwise, it will be my escape.

I have an unused projector I can hang on the ceiling pointed at the 12 foot wall. Viewing/listening position will be on a sleeper sofa 10 feet back against the rear wall. Its a tight space.

I found a pr of radio shack 40-1271s. I think there's some 1272s here somewhere. Also, still have a bunch of those little PE NSB 4". Digging...

Man, I need to throw some stuff out.

It seems the "1271" is best suited in an aperiodic box. I wonder if I can make some holes in the wall's top plate and stuff as needed.

Found a pr of RS 40-1043 8" FR also... beefier than the 1271.

Maybe this week I can build a test box and have a listen with all the available candidates.
