Excellent! Of course you are not done yet...
Now you need to EnABL the Fostex drivers - see EnABL kit Yes, it does make a difference - and a very GOOD one. I have a pair of mini-Fonkens and a pair of PAWOs both built by Dave and Chris and both with EnABL`d FE127s. We tested stock drivers and EnABL`d drivers in both boxes extensively (especially with non-audiophile listeners) and the consensus was clear: the EnABL`d drivers were smoother, more musical and more lifelike across the board. EnABLing does not change the sonic balance of the FE127, it brings out a quality of alive-ness that is missing in the stock drivers. Anyways, congrats and enjoy your new, very pretty, speakers Jess

What happens if you don't angle cut the sides where the ports are?

1/ You have to adjust the length of the port shelfs (which gives you a less rigid side panel)
2/ you get a greater, more audible level of edge diffraction. A big roundover means 1 is not as bad, and 2 is not really an issue. Probably best is the big champher, with round-over at the corners of the champher. dave

Very nice. Keeps reminding me that I want a pair of these...or I should finish an amp first..its all a little bit chicken and egg.
Once again, very nice. And another vote for construction pics.
