Suricat - I appreciate the calculations; that's something I'll definitely look into. I'm still trying to tweak with my budget to accommodate the various components.

Pit_hinder - From what I've seen, designing crossovers can get quite complicated. I would prefer to devote my time to the "fun stuff" like amps and such.

"Fun stuff", amps? All I know about active designs is that amperes multiplied by volts result in expensive smells - no way, brother.

Hello db!,

also take a look at these ones:

The picture above: that is my pair of the "Little Susis" (that is how the speakers are called).

They measure 20 (High) x 15 (Broad) x 20 (Deep) cm and have a volume of 3.3 ltrs.
Chassis are Tangband W4-657B Fullrange and Dayton ND20FA-6 tweeter.

The sound of these tiny speakers is exceptional. I don't even miss any depth.
