a quick teaser picture. forgive the awful camera. construction was done in 3/4" birch with cherry veneer. still want to give it a few more coats of furniture wax but they look rather nice right now. thanks to dave for the new plans. (will be sending you feedback on the plans once i finish this semester)

Those look nice.
Note that the trifoil pattern is applied with the idea that the lead outs from the voice coil (2 white dimples in the cone) are oriented downward. Purely aesthetic. dave

i was aware of that. i was scared though that in the position where the dimples are at the bottom of the cone, too much stress was being put on the terminals of the drivers. so i installed them the way i did.

Ah... a bit longer internal wire? Or just leave them as is, it is only aesthetic.

the wire was so long it had to be looped around the holes in the holey brace. i just felt uncomfortable with the wire sitting there against the brace. i dont think it would make any difference but i am super paranoid.
