I don't see an advantage in using this driver over any other 3in FR driver.
at 12mm xmax it will be just screaming with cone resonance. although it might have an impressive performance as woofer in a 2 way system.

It's a 16 Ohm driver, so 2.83V figure of 81.9dB is only for 0.5W.
1W would give you 3dB more output- about normal for 3" full ranger.
They are obviously meant to be used in pairs or sets of four, but that can get pricey really quickly.

I recently thought that this A3 driver could not be beaten for a full range, but then I took more notice of the FR graph. I did some looking around, and although this is a 4.5'', it seems to have a flatter response, for a third of the price.

I'm not sure of how detailed the sound would be. The Xmax is the same, 6mm one way.

I would like to see Audience re-design that A3 driver to achieve a flatter response before I consider buying it. It has great potential, considering this is a "version one".

The FR125 & the Audience A3 were both designed by Dan Wiggins.

Keep in mind that on-axis FR has little correllation with percieved speaker quality in blind listening tests (ref Floyd Toole)
