Hi all,
Can you please kindly advice which one from Alerion dx55 or Pma6 with The woofer is a "Tone Tubby" AlNiCo guitar speaker, OB. which one has good sound for Jazz, pop, acoustic, vocal,... Besides, I have 2 kids and they are very active (is it any any choice to eliminate the problem of reaching to the open wire in OB from he kids, pls advice). I am using Marantz SA-15S1, Cayin A-88T, Rega P3-24 with Exact II cartridge, Era Gold V phono preamp. Thanks and Best regards |

The PM6A and the Tone Tubbies were used in our display at RMAF
last October with a passive crossover. I did not hear them, but they were praised highly. You can get information on them from Jon ver Halen at Lowther America ( www.lowther-america.com ) I get excellent results with the PM6A in OB's with various woofers, but quite a bit depends on the OB itself and the crossover. I use active filters and bi-amp. The Alerion is also very good, and I have enjoyed it very much, but that said, I am a big fan of the OB approach.
