You would have much greater control -- and better sonics -- by using a PLLXO. All it would require is an appropriately sized cap (small) on the input of the amp 6. What is the amp 6 input impedance?

I couldn't find anything stating the input impedance but the ai for amp6-basic has these
three options during building the amp:

Rin| Rfeed back| input gain| suitable signal source
22 KΩ 56 KΩ -2.5 V/V Portable MP3/CD player with built in volume control.
22 KΩ 22 KΩ -1 V/V General use
56 KΩ 22 KΩ -0.4 V/V Preamplifier with fairly high output signal
