Default Lowther DX65 Response?

Hi,

Does anyone have a frequency response, and importantly an off-axis response for the new DX65? I can't find one on the net.

Cheers!

I have a pair on the way, courtesy of Jon ver Halen of Lowther
America, and I will be happy to post a curve after they arrive. I
don't do off-axis curves, but its a reasonable assumption that it
will be very similar to the DX55 and its brothers, as the cone
structure appears to be the same.

Hi Nelson,

Funnily enough I was just reading your PDF about the Kleinhorn project.

It would be good if you can share your findings of the DX65.

Actually I have been looking for some off-axis plots of the DX55 as like you I thought it would be similar. I can't find any for that either though. Can you point me to some if you know of them, please?

Cheers

P.S. I see in a picture you have some ribbon tweeters with your KleinHorns, how did you decide at what point to roll them in?

I usually use something like 6 dB/oct at 10 KHz, unless there's a problem.

Could be the light, but surround looks different on the picture on Lowther site
Fs is 89hz, opposed to 80hz on DX55

I have been looking at it fore a while, so I hope to hear more about it

Tenson, Im not sure response curves on these drivers makes much sense
You may have to listen to judge anything

Default DX65

Don't believe Nelson. They are not on the way. I am REALLY enjoying them, and it may take a week or two before I am willing to ship them on. Matter of fact, they are playing in the background as I type.

Although I have not measured them, they have the same basic response of the DX55 - i.e. a rising response above 500 hz that needs taming to sound their best. Once properly equalized they are *very* nice.

Default Now they are on the way!

DX65's are packed on will be shipped Tuesday. Because of the short week, Nelson will probably not get them till June 1st.

I miss them already.
